The ground breaking event of Warren Buffet on Levo League’s office hours was phenomenal.
Everyone twitted up a storm, including myself, as we tried to catch the words of wisdom passed down by this Oracle.
I loved the concept of #officehours at Levo League. These valuable hours provided everyone who signed up as part of the network of Gen Y young professionals, the chance to ask for mentor advice. Despite the time differences in London vs. New York City or Omaha (in this instance at Warren’s home), I was able to get out of the Spring sunshine and tucked myself in front of the laptop to tune in. So far, I have had the chance to ask questions to the likes of Sheryl Sandberg, and Sally Krawcheck, despite their busy schedules. It made me feel empowered to know that I have such a strong network of individuals to request advice, overcome challenges and elevate my career.
Today, from Warren, some key quotes I think deserved to be documented amongst many others are the following:
“Women have every potential that men do.”
“I love painting my canvas, you are lucky in life to find your passion.”
I love this one – “You want to have the right heroes.”
